In Anomésan, Jean-Pierre Neveu draws us into an imaginary forest where light becomes almost a character in itself. Delicate beams filter through the trees, illuminating the forest floor and gradually revealing unusual vegetation composed of twisting roots, abundant moss and fantastical floral forms.

Deep red plants stand out vividly against the greens and blues of the forest, creating focal points that guide the eye throughout the composition. The small stream in the foreground brings a sense of calm and continuity, while the abundance of detail encourages the viewer to linger over every part of the scene.

With Anomésan, the artist creates a world that is peaceful, mysterious and alive, where the realism of the forest slowly gives way to the fantastic.
