Original artwork.
Parcelle de bleu is a mixed-media artwork on wood by Hélène Lafontaine, where the richness of natural materials meets the freedom of abstraction. In this geode-inspired composition, pieces of wood retrieved from lake bottoms and small stones collected during her dives become part of an intricate arrangement of textures and flowing lines. Warm shades of copper, ochre, and deep brown contrast with lighter surfaces in mineral tones. Small touches of turquoise blue illuminate the composition, like precious gemstones hidden within the natural materials. Through this artwork, the artist invites us to discover the unexpected beauty of elements shaped by time and water, creating a harmonious balance of strength, movement, and delicacy.
