Artist’s statement

In my artwork, I seek to explore limits and barriers, and test the fragmentation of forms and the luminosity of colours (values and tones). Surveillance, appearance and camouflage are themes in my practice. My paintings become interactive in the sense that the coloured matter and its tactile aspect are a direct channel to the public; as a result, taking a step back will allow viewers to better observe the subject at a distance. Shifting, dissolution of reference points and reconstruction: this is the visual dialogue that challenges me in my practice.
