In Panorama 1, André Coppens unfolds a sweeping landscape bathed in light, where golden fields flow between lush trees toward the mountains rising softly in the distance. At the heart of this generous countryside, a small white house framed by slender cypress trees gently draws the eye and brings a peaceful presence to the composition.

Brilliant yellows, luminous greens and deep blues create a warm, sun-filled scene. True to the distinctive style he calls “outlinism,” Coppens defines the shapes with dark lines that structure the landscape and enhance its lively, colorful character.

The painting evokes the southern landscapes so dear to the artist, where color and light transform nature into a place filled with serenity and joy.
