In Panorama 2, André Coppens takes us into a landscape glowing with light, where vast golden fields stretch toward the blue-toned mountains on the horizon. In the foreground, bright red poppies enliven the tall grasses, while an old blue cart brings a charming, nostalgic touch to the scene.

Farther away, a small white house framed by cypress trees stands among the cultivated fields. Luminous yellows, vivid greens and deep blues give the composition a warm and joyful energy. The dark outlines characteristic of Coppens’ distinctive “Contournism” structure each element and reinforce the painting’s lively, graphic quality.

The work evokes the sun-filled landscapes so dear to the artist, where nature, color and light come together in a peaceful and generous atmosphere.
