In “Temps d’arrêt,” Gabrielle Dumont draws inspiration from the majestic Saguenay Fjord to depict the stillness of a frozen Quebec winter. Created in encaustic (beeswax), the work features crystalline textures and luminous tones—pure whites, translucent turquoise, and golden highlights—that evoke silence, reflection, and the passage of time stilled.
