Le passage
Gabrielle Dumont GAD2142
Original artwork
In Le passage (24 x 24 in), Gabrielle Dumont uses encaustic on wood with delicate 24k gold leaf. On a ridge, a figure and a fox face a swirling sky, crossed with birds and light. Carved beeswax layers and cool blue tones make the wind feel tangible—a threshold between two worlds: the one we leave and the one unfolding ahead.
