Original artwork

In Roses scintillantes, Gabrielle Dumont celebrates the radiant beauty of flowers through a vibrant composition of colours and textures. Three lush roses, painted in rich shades of deep red, burgundy, and purple, bloom among foliage in emerald green and turquoise blue.

The sculptural quality of encaustic gives the flowers an almost tangible presence, while delicate golden highlights illuminate their petals and reveal their richness. The spontaneous movement of the wax, layered colours, and luminous contrasts create an atmosphere that is both lively and refined, where every detail seems to capture the light.

Through this expressive floral composition, Gabrielle Dumont transforms a bouquet of roses into a celebration of nature. A luminous and evocative artwork that conveys passion, delicacy, and the fleeting beauty of flowers, while reflecting the spontaneity and poetry that define her artistic universe.
