Original artwork

In Petite rose, Gabrielle Dumont celebrates the delicacy and timeless beauty of flowers through a composition filled with tenderness and poetry. A magnificent rose, with generous petals in shades of mauve, lilac, and violet-pink, blooms among delicate buds and intertwining foliage. The scene evokes the freshness of a romantic garden, where each flower seems to tell a story of beauty and renewal.

The rich encaustic textures give the petals an almost sculptural quality, while delicate golden highlights illuminate the composition. Shades of turquoise, seafoam green, and pastel blue blend into a luminous cream background, creating a soft and airy atmosphere. The spontaneous movement of the wax adds depth and vitality, making the flowers appear to come alive before our eyes.

Through this floral artwork, Gabrielle Dumont transforms the simplicity of a rose into an invitation to wonder. A luminous and refined composition that evokes tenderness, fragility, and the small joys that nature offers us every day.
