In À l’écoute du vent (24 x 24 in), Gabrielle Dumont works in encaustic on wood with subtle 24k gold leaf. Two foxes, attuned to an unseen breeze, lift their gaze toward a diffused glow. Carved beeswax layers and blue arabesques form a vegetal frame, while golden flecks heighten the sense of air and whisper—as if the forest were speaking.
