Is it necessary to recall that art opens unsuspected paths through introspection and experimentation, emerging from the very essence of our roots and who we are becoming?

“I paint the impulse in fragments. I let the subject envelop me in order to grasp the salient points. My work is also one of translation and architecture. I infuse my truth into the painting through a mosaic of lights and shadows. The biases, which are usually limiting, are for me a springboard. I am a Pixelist!” – Hélène Lafontaine.

For Humberto Pinochet, travel is a continuous source of inspiration. Thematically diverse, his works are windows onto a world that the artist invites us to discover. Urban scenes, landscapes and seascapes are some of his favourite themes.

I am a Quebec painter whose practice explores memory, places, and emotional sensitivity through an intuitive and evocative pictorial approach. Since childhood, drawing and painting have held a central place in my life, quickly becoming privileged means of expression and personal exploration.
