Power – Pride – Liberation (Pouvoir – Fierté – Libération)

Pam Comeau (Pamela) PAC1590

Original artwork.

This painting was influenced by the political unrest following the murder of George Floyd.  I reflect on the way that marginalized groups have to fight for human rights.

I use international symbols to encompass 3 important equality movements.  A fist raised for black lives matter, LGBQT flag for gay rights, and a bra being burned for the women’s liberation movement.
